Overview
I am a 23 year-old single mother. I am currently in school at Detroit Business Institute in the Licensed Practical Nurse program. I am to graduate from this program December 4, 2015 pending that I get my balance of $700 paid. I was denied assistance from MiWorks and my hours at work have been cut as well.
My goals are to walk across the stage and graduate on this day and immediately further my education in the Registered Nurse program which should take me about 9 months to complete.
I need $700 to pay the remainder of my tuition balance so that I my graduate.
Meeting this need will help me because I will graduate from the Licensed Practical Nurse program and will continue on the Bachelors of Science and Nursing track. I have previous college credits therefore allowing me to finish my BSN in about 9 months. Accomplishing these goal will allow me to provide a life of self sufficiency for my family.

I am the manager for the Parent Family Community Engagement and Tracy is the parent of a child enrolled in our Head Start program. One of our Parent Educators is helping Tracy with attaining her goals.
