Stanley

Stanley from Chicago, IL

I have moved into my own place after 10 years! I need furniture to make it a home.

My new apartment needs basic furnishings so that I can feel at home and keep building stability.

Overview

My name is Stanley Plummer, I am a 64 year old man and Grandfather of 10. I just moved into a new apartment at a Senior Facility. I’ve been with working with the EDSSC for over three years and they have helped me to obtain my identification documents, housing, food and clothing. This is first time I’ve lived on my own in 10 years, I would like to establish a home that I can be proud of.

My goals are to get involved in the community that I am residing in—I also look forward to participating in activities that will allow me to advance my education. Being a grandfather, I would like to share my knowledge with my grandchildren and be an active role model in their lives.

My new apartment needs furnishing--I’m looking to obtain a queen sized bed set, couch, dining room table and chair; as well as a dining set so that I can invite friends and family over for dinner.

Meeting this need will help me become a more confident individual who is able to give something back to society and be secure in who I am. This need will help me create a comfortable home environment for myself and my family.
