I am Felino from Ballesteros, Philippines, a hog raiser who sells piglets to earn money for my family's needs.

My goals are to be able to increase the yield of piglets that I sell from an average of 4 to at least 12 every birth season. This increase will help me manage the cost of feeds and vaccines for the piglets until they are sold and would also give me enough profit to take care of my family's needs.

I need to replace my old sow and boar with a younger and better breed, which will yield more and healthier piglets.

Meeting this need will help me because I would be able to better manage the cost of feeds and vaccines that piglets need to survive and grow until I can sell them for better prices in the market.

Felino is an alumnus of the Academy who loves to take care of pigs. His talent in animal husbandry helps to provide for his family's needs. However, he needs to replace his aging sow and boar and replace them with younger and better breed of pigs so that he could also increase his piglet yield of up to 30%. The new breed of sow and boar will also decrease the mortality of piglets and would help Felino sell more.
