Overview

I need some basic items to furnish my home so I can focus on my goals of getting healthy and finding work.

PATH has found me a place to stay, but I need furnishings for my new apartment. This includes  a bed, couch, television, kitchen utensils, etc. Anything you need to make a house a home.

My goal is to get healthy, find employment, and be able to live completely independently. Having a real home is a necessary first step. Meeting this need will help me because I currently have nothing to move in with and furnishings will truly help make my apartment a home.

My current situation is I'm a resident at PATH Hollywood, have been out of work for 18 months, found myself homeless and with a number of health issues.

Right now, my biggest challenge is not having a source of income to be able to provide for myself and live independently. I need furniture for my new apartment.

I'm most proud of getting my life back in the right direction and being on the way to being healthy again.

I think of myself mostly as a independent stable person, but feeling a bit desperate in my current situation.

I have known Frankie since December 2012. We met through informal interactions at the PATH Hollywood shelter where I work and he is staying, but began working closely in March of 2013 when we began to search for a permanent apartment for him to move into.

I think meeting this need is important because here at PATH we want our residents to be treated with dignity and respect. Having furniture is a critical piece of living with the kind of dignity and independence we hope to help each client achieve.

This will move the recipient's life forward by giving him a positive environment in which he can recover physically and work towards regaining independence and stability.
