Serenity from Chicago, IL

I've found a place to live; furniture will help it feel like a home.

The Center for Changing Lives has helped me secure housing. I want to furnish it so that I can have my friends, children, and grandchildren visit.

I am a 55-year-old mother of six kids. I am a homemaker and a grandmother of twelve grandkids.

My goals are to own my own business one day; eventually, I will want to open my own restaurant because I have a passion for food.

I need furniture: a livingroom set, kitchen table, and two beds. I am in need of these items because I just recently moved into a new place and I would love for my home to feel welcoming when my family and friends come and visit.

Meeting this need will help me because by finding this new place and getting all the furniture I need it will truly make my place feel like a home. Not only will it bring me peace and happiness but I will be welcoming for any of my family and friends to come and visit.

I have known Serenity through Financial Coaching here at Center for Changing Lives. She has been working with our housing and financial intern with her housing goals and finding housing options for her and her family. She has secured housing and now is in need of basic essentials for her house to look and feel complete. She is so close to completing one of her biggest goals making her new home feel like a true home. Serenity has been honest since day one about what she is looking for and the support she needs therefore, it would be great to see her receive this help.
