Overview

I need assistance to pay to become a Certified Professional Coder, which includes the exam registration fee and studying materials (two books).

My goal is to become a professional medical biller and coder. Meeting this need, then, will help me because I would be able to take the next step in securing a position in my career field and being able to provide for my family as well. I would also be able to ease the financial burden on my wife.

I graduated from Everest College in June 2013 and I have not been able to find a job in order to cover the fees needed to take the certification exam. I have applied to numerous positions in my field but without the certification I have less chances of obtaining a job. It is very hard for me to ask for help but at this time I can really use some assistance. I want my children to look up to me as they get older when I have an established career. I would definitely put to great use any donations I receive towards establishing my career. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read my story!

I am from Chicago and I have lived here most of my life. I live with my wife and our four children. My oldest is 13 years old and my youngest is 2 years old. I am most proud of my wife because I have been out of work for almost two and a half years while I was also enrolled in college. She has provided financially for our family. I am happiest when my children do well in school. I want them to look up to me as they get older when I have established my career.

Aaron and his wife were referred to me by their son's therapist about five months ago, and they have met with me consistently since then. I think meeting this need is important because this is the last step Aaron needs to complete before he can get a job in his field. Aaron is eager to start working as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. He has the education and now all he needs is to be certified.
