Overview

I'm from Shreveport, LA but I live in Detroit. Something interesting about me is that I love helping others. I'm happiest when I accomplish a task that is important to me and am most proud of myself when I've made someone's day after helping them. I have a 17 year old daughter who is in Job Corp working on her high school diploma and a trade to become a Dental Assisting

My goal is to finish school and start my career as a medical biller and coder so that I can increase my income and better provide for my family. I do not want my daughter to lose the momentum she has in school due to a lack of resources including a computer.

I need a computer with printer and supplies to I can complete my online classes successfully. These resources will also be helpful for my daughter in completed her class assignments.

My current situation is I have a limited income which leaves me with little money after paying my bills and getting my daughter what she needs every month. Meeting this need will help me because it would mean the world to me if I got a computer so that I could finish my online courses at University of Phoenix and graduate so that I could get a job and support myself and my daughter better.

I met Darla about two months ago. I think meeting this need is important because she is a single parent setting a perfect example for her 17 year old daughter. She is seeking her degree and I expect that her daughter will do the same. They both need access to a functioning computer to advance in school.
