Tony and son are doing great May 21, 2014

Tony is doing great! We went shopping and purchased the items he needs for him and his son. Tony is such a dedicated father and was excited to be able to provide his son with new school clothes. Thank you so much for donating to his need.

Overview

I'm a single parent and recently unemployed. I'm seeking employment opportunities so I can secure stable housing for myself and my son. I have a good student as a son and love being a part of his life and being his role model.

My goal is to find and maintain meaningful employment and one day become a homeowner. To get there, I need professional attire to wear to interviews. This will give me the confidence to enter them with my head high. Additionally, my son needs uniforms and school supplies so he will be appropriately dressed and prepared for school on a daily basis.

Professional attire and school uniforms will restore a sense of stability to my family and relieve anxiety during this trying time.

Meeting my clothing need will help me because it will show employers that I am serious about the job. Meeting my sons uniform and school supply needs will ensure my son is always following dress code and has the tools needed to complete assignments and succeed at school.

I met Tony when his son came to Black Family Development to receive services. Tony is a GREAT single father that works very hard with his son.

I think meeting this need is important because it will provide Tony's son some substainability while he looks for new employment and will ensure he is in school dress code everyday.

Tony is eager about obtaining employment so he will be able to help out someone else in need one day.
