The girls are all right Jun 27, 2014
Noami was able to purchase bunk beds for her daughters thanks to your generous support. She was very excited when she heard her need was funded and even more excited when the beds arrived. Thank you!
Overview
I am from Detroit and have two beautiful daughters ages 15 and 5. They are my strength in life. My oldest is at Cass Tech, a local high school with a good reputation for scholastic excellence, and my youngest is learning Spanish. They are a joy and I am so proud of them!
My current situation is I'm trying to get back on my feet after losing my house and job. Due to my lack of income things are a bit hard.
My goal is to go back to school myself to enhance my chances of finding employment. It is, however, difficult for me to direct my attention to school when my children still have needs that are going unmet.
I need beds for my daughters so they can rest easy at night and wake up with energy - to take on the world. They are doing so well in school and I don't want to disrupt their progress because of the hardship we are currently going through.
Meeting this need will help me because it will take a great burden off my shoulders. Knowing my daughters have their needs met and are able to rest easy at night in preparations for the great things they are accomplishing at school every day would be a huge relief, and one less thing I have to figure out how to make happen during this uncertain time.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Naomi fund this need.

I met Naomi through a connection made between my team members, Parent Advocate Ms. Binns and Family Resiliency Coordinator, Ms. Armstrong.
I think meeting this need is important because we have a greater opportunity to support this family. This support is in keeping with the mission of Benevolent, which is to provide that much needed "hand up" to a family and Naomi really needs it. Her daughters are doing so well in school and we want to keep them focused on just that. Provide each with beds would provide a sense of stability back in their lives.
