CJerome from Charlotte, NC

Trained & ready as a technician, but the job requires a van to work in the field.

Having a work vehicle will enable me to be in a better position to meet the job requirements as a field Technician, so that I can be gainfully employed and utilize my new found skills to better myself financially.

Your generous support and donations are benefiting a young man like myself to get back on his feet by buying a work vehicle to go work in his chosen field as a Fiber Optic Technician. Thank you to everyone who supported my goal and believed in me at Benevolent and at The Urban League."

A thank you message from The Urban League! Sep 8, 2014

Takisha, CJerome's validator at The Urban League says:

"CJerome is very excited that his need has been met with the help of Benevolent's fantastic donors! We are so happy that now CJerome can get his vehicle for work, and we all understand how much this moment will mean to him to have his own vehicle. This is all because of the donors! Without you, this would not be possible. On behalf of The Urban League, we would like to THANK YOU for all that you do to help our clients."

Overview

I am a dependable, reliable team player, business oriented, individual with a keen interest to learn, grow, and develop. I have a can-do attitude, with a lot dexterity to tackle most jobs in the telecommunication, and construction fields.

My goals are to find employment, preferably in Broadband Telecommunication Industry, and becoming an entrepreneur. I have just completed training as a Fiber Optic / Broadband Communication Technician. I now am Certified in this new found field, and I would like to make the most out of myself by applying myself into this field to becoming an upstanding citizen.

I need a pick-up truck or work van that will give me the ability to have transportation, and the ability to fulfill job requirements such as hauling ladders, Telecommunication equipment, tools and gear. Having a work vehicle will enable me to be in a better position to meet those job requirements as a field Technician, so that I can be gainfully employed and utilize my new found skills to better myself financially.

Meeting this need will help me because it will help me anchor myself in this high demand field as a Telecommunication Installer/Technician, which eventually will help me secure stable employments, so that I can stabilize myself financially. Acquiring a work vehicle is the only thing standing between me and getting a Telecommunication Installer job. I have the skills necessary, and if I go to an interview, and I have a work vehicle employers will see that I’m the ideal candidate. Your efforts are much needed into making this goal a reality, and thank you.

I know CJerome from our Fiber Optic program. He just graduated the program in April of 2014. Mr. Jerome has obtained his two national certifications in Premise Cabling and Fiber Optic Technician. He has all the skills necessary to be successful in the field, but he only has one thing holding him back from his goals and it's his transportation. In the FOA field a certified candidate must have their own transportation to be successful in the field due to having to travel to different job sites, and carry all the material needed for the job. The ideal vehicle for him will be a pick-up truck or Van. Mr. Jerome is someone who is very professional, respectful, dependable, and reliable the ideal candidate for employment. Due to him not having transportation employers have not had the opportunity to experience his greatness. I hope that by posting his need we can help him find the vehicle he need, and the job that he deserves.
