Overview

I worked all my life until disability prevented me from working and maintaining self-sufficiency. Now I am finally moving into my own apartment after being homeless for four years and need help to afford household items to make my apartment both livable and comfortable.

My goals are to become more self sufficient and independent.

A mop, broom and cleaning supplies will allow me to keep my apartment neat. Dishes, pots, pans, a microwave and a hot-plate will allow me to be more self-reliant and self- sufficient through cooking my own meals. Sheets, a comforter and a pillow will allow me to get a good night’s sleep and be more energized in pursuing my goals. Any funding will help me as I transition to this new point in my life.

Meeting this need will help me transition into my new living arrangement and make it sustainable.

I have known Carmella through my work with her here at Inspiration Corporation. She has shown great willingness to advance and pursue her goals through participating in our 4-week long job readiness workshop which takes place every day of the week for 4 hours a day. She has further been engaged in our employment services program to continue to pursue her goals. Obtaining housing is a huge accomplishment and I'm excited to see Carmella build off of this success.
