Anna, Jewels' validator says, "Jewels daughter delivered two weeks early and is now home with her son. How awesome would it be to be funded before the end of the month, making baby's first Christmas a little less stressful on the family?"

Help us spread the word about Jewels and her family so we can help Jewels build stability for her young family in time for the holidays.

Overview

I am a 40 year-old mother who receives SSDI. In December, I will be a grandmother. My daughter and I just moved into an apartment, but most of my income goes to my rent. My landlord is working with me to pay off our security deposit.

My goals are provide the type of life for my youngest daughter and grandson that I haven't had for myself, by living independently and providing for their needs. If we have a stable home, my daughter can return to college and work while I watch the baby for her.

I need $700 to pay for one month's rent as my income stabilizes. Our income now is just my social security $733, but soon that will increase. Being funded for one month of rent will help me pay my security deposit and have a few dollars to get other needed items for my family.

Meeting this need will help me because it will help me feel stable and happy by keeping our family in a home.

I have been working with Jewels since July of this year. When she came in for services she was homeless due to a family dispute. She moved into a shelter and her pregnant daughter stayed with friends. She recently found an apartment and was able to work out a deal with the landlord. Your help will push her family past the fear of being back on the streets
