John says THANK YOU! Mar 15, 2016
Francine, John's validator, just reached out to the Benevolent Team to share John's reaction upon hearing that his need was funded. She says, "It's amazing what that small thing will do! [John] is working so hard and to hear that strangers would help... He's just overjoyed and in tears!"
Thank you to everyone who gave to help John pursue his dream of working in software. The way you give truly is transforming.
Overview
My name is John. I am 29 years old. I live in the Bronx. As a person, I am always very happy, a little emotional, and sensitive, yet self-contained. I love my family members, my father, mother, and my younger sister. Another aspect of my life: I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working individual who is eager to succeed. I am also a very outgoing and simple person. I love sports. I love watching baseball, soccer, and cricket. I love playing soccer, bowling, and pooling. Moreover, my hobbies are hiking, sight-seeing, photography and art.
My earnings are very limited. I have a part-time job. My goal is to complete my SQL training and get a good job in software.
I am currently going for my software testing and SQL trainings, where I require a high performance laptop. At this time, it is very hard for me to purchase due to my financial standing. I am hoping that with help from Benevolent, I will be able to get a computer and finish my training. I thank you very much for your help and consideration.
Having a high performance laptop will help me succeed in school. I am very motivated to move forward and achieve success. I am determined to not let a setback change my future.

I have known John for a little over 8 months and have been impressed with his will to fight through all the adversity he has been through. John was a college graduate who lost it all due to a fight he was trying to break up that landed him in the criminal justice system. He has been determined to continue all his goals and dreams and has recently went back to school. John is really trying hard and can use the help from Benevolent to achieve future success.
