Malcolm from Queens, New York

I'm a photographer but my camera was stolen. Help me get a new one to support myself.

My camera was stolen from me last November. A new camera will enable me to get back into my photography career and support myself.

Overview

I am a 23-year-old Photographer. I've been doing photography for one year and a few months, doing mainly freelance and some corporate gigs.

My goals are to replace my main source of income, my camera, which was stolen from me the beginning of November 2016. My photography is my career and without my camera, I can't achieve a lot of the personal goals I have made for myself. I want to be a self-sustaining photographer with my own studio within a years time using that as my only source of income.

I need to replace my camera and lens that was stolen so that I can continue to grow as a photographer. I have lost many important gigs/events due to not having a camera including a very important wedding and a gig with a very big company.

Meeting this need will help me because without the necessary equipment, It'll be impossible to continue on this career path. It would take much more time for me to afford a camera by myself, which in turn would make me more likely to miss very important opportunities which could push me further. Photography has become a major part of my identity and without that, It'd be very difficult to imagine myself doing anything else.

Malcolm has been engaged while here at Probation and has been working diligently to get himself stable and provide for his future. Malcolm also demonstrates several strengths, which include his ability to take beautiful photos, which he has shared here at Probation. Malcolm has been genuine in sharing his life aspirations and it would be wonderful for him to be able to continue working towards his passion as a photographer.
