Overview
I currently live in a shelter in Detroit and need to get back to LA where I have a job opportunity waiting for me.
My goal is to return home and obtain gainful employment so I am able to provide for myself and move on with my life. Meeting this need will help me because it will put me back in my comfort zone and allow me to take advantage of the job offer that currently awaits me.
I came to Detroit to care for/live with an aunt I hadn't seen in 40 years. She became increasingly ill while I was visiting and had to be placed in a nursing home as a result. On top of feeling uncomfortable staying in her house alone, I was presented with a job opportunity in LA. I am trying to get back home to LA so I can start working again.
I'm from New Orleans but I moved to LA to have a shot at a better life.
Something interesting about me is that I am an artist and have a natural talent for art. I'm most proud of the fact that I gave my youngest sister away at her wedding.

I met Terry when he came to the Emergency Shelter at the beginning of August. He was in need of finding a way back to LA but needed a place to stay in the meantime.
Meeting Terry's need is important because Terry is more comfortable in his own surroundings and community. He needs to be in a setting where he can succeed in obtaining his goals and LA is that place because he has potential jobs lined up there and he is capable of navigating the area better via public transportation.
Terry is an extremely open-minded and heartfelt person.
