Danielle's training is complete! Jun 27, 2014
We just received notice (and a picture) that Danielle has completed her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and is well on her way. Thank you for helping her get to this point in her life and career.
Danielle has a great start to a bright future! Jun 11, 2014
I would like to thank the donors on behalf of Danielle. She would be doing it herself but she is currently in her CNA classes!!! She is doing a great job with her studies and her first few days have gone well. She is very grateful for the support and the opportunity to continue her education and find employment. Thank you so much!
Overview
I'm ready to get back to work so I can support my children and have a good life.
My goals are to own my own home, not be in debt, and be in a position to support myself and my family with a good job.
Becoming a CNA will help me because once I take the classes and pass the test I will be qualified to work in different healthcare settings where there will be more job options available for me.
My current situation is I am unemployed, I have no transportation and my bills have fallen behind because I cannot find a job. I was a stay-at-home mom but the relationship ended badly. I want to move on with my life and become independent to provide a good happy life for myself and my children.
I'm originally from Florida but live in Detroit. I have three children - two girls and one boy ages 5, 6 and 7.
Something interesting about me is I have strong will and faith. I am happiest when my children are happy and am most proud of the fact that I have been able to maintain a home for them.

I met Danielle when she became a participant in the housing program at COTS.
I think meeting this need is important because Danielle is ambitious and wants to work and be independent. Taking CNA classes will open up more job options and make her marketable to potential employers.
