Denise from Chicago, IL

Working & in recovery. Now I'm finally housed! Need help with basics for my apartment.

I'm working towards self-sufficiency as I continue my road to recovery. Furniture will help me take the next step towards my goals.

Overview

I am a single, African-American woman. I am employed at a university. I have been in Chicago for four years. A major part of my life here has been recovering from drugs and alcohol and becoming self-sufficient.

My goals are to go back to school, stay sober, and travel. In order to accomplish my other goals, I know that I need to stay sober.

I need furniture for my new apartment. This will include a dinette set, dresser, night stand, chair, and a floor lamp.

Meeting this need will help me because with the furniture, I will be able to get a good night's rest and do the things I'm responsible for, such as work, meetings, and church.
