Overview
I am a 49 year old continuing education student at Kennedy-King. I am majoring in Addiction Studies and minoring in Music. I ultimately hope to graduate and give back to my community. I am currently interning at Harmony, Hope and Healing, working with women and children improving their mental and emotional health.
When I graduate I hope to open up a shelter for women and children, running empowering programs that provide necessary resources for their financial, educational and emotional growth.
I need a laptop to help continue my education. Because I do not own a home computer I have to complete most of my homework on campus. Working part-time and going to school full-time makes this travel tedious and overwhelming.
Having a laptop will help me organize and simplify my busy life. I will be able to accomplish my class assignments more effectively and reduce the stress of constantly returning to campus after hours.
