Overview

I am currently on my third semester in the Get Into Energy program at Pima Community College. I am 48 years old and a single father of two beautiful young girls.

My goals are to complete my education and be employed in the same field that I have studied for. The career that I have chosen is the energy field. I plan to become a Journeyman / Lineman.

I need a basic laptop computer for my studies. My current studies involve a lot of writing and having a computer will help me to stay caught up with my assignments.

Meeting this need will help me because I currently have to go to a public library to use a computer and sometimes it's hard to get to the library. So having a computer will allow me to do my assignments on time.

I have known Robert for six months and have been helping him pay for his college books for his courses. He has been going to school in order to enter the electrical field and has been working hard to complete his goal. He is expected to finish the program this year. Meeting this need is important because Robert would have easy access to using a computer. Right now he has to travel to the library which is difficult and time consuming since he works full time, goes to school and has to take care of his daughters. Owning a computer will make it easier for him to do and complete his assignments.
