Overview

I am a former foster youth and full-time community college student with a current GPA of 3.0. I work part-time and am a participant in the FUP program with Beyond Emancipation.

My goals are to graduate with a 3.5 GPA and transfer to a 4 year university to study business. I am working to start my own business after I graduate.

I need a laptop to study and complete my homework assignments at home. I work as well, and making it to the library before it closes has been difficult to do and I don't want to fall behind in my studies.

Meeting this need will help me because it will allow me to study at home and improve my GPA so I can transfer to a 4 year university. It will also help me start my own business.

I have worked with Jazz for about a year through Beyond Emancipation's FUP Housing program. Jazz was couch surfing when we first met but through coaching and problem solving was able to secure housing. Jazz is a smart, resourceful and motivated young woman and it has been my pleasure to work with her. Jazz works part-time and goes to school full-time and would not only benefit from having a laptop but excel in her goals.
