Benny from Chicago, IL

Training in metalworking. Steel-toed boots + a metrology kit will help me get a job.

I'm ready to provide for myself and my family. I need a metrology kit, and steel-toed boots to start work!

I'm Benny, and I have lived on the near west side of Chicago for my whole life. I'm currently enrolled in a metalworking training program at JARC. I have been training for over 6 months.

My goals are to graduate with my NIMS (National Institute for Metalworking Skills) certification, obtain my OSHA 10-hour safety certificate, and get hired by a manufacturing company this summer.

I need steel-toed boots to protect my feet in the shop, a metrology kit to measure items, and uniform attire that would be standard for the machine shop I want to join.

Meeting this need will help me get my foot in the door once again. I am rebounding from a difficult time and unemployment is no joke. I would like to be a better example for myself and my family.

Benny has been a rock star in the CNC classroom! He is a talented machinist and eager to teach others. He also has a keen eye for detail. Because of these qualities, Benny was promoted to shift lead within the training program. Any day now he will land a fantastic job in the manufacturing field and I'm confident his career will go far. Benevolent donations will set him up to reach even greater heights!
