Overview

I need a bed so that my daughter and I will have something to sleep on. This includes a mattress, box spring and railing. As well as linen for the bed like sheets and pillows.

My current situation is that I need a bed for myself and my daughter. We have been sleeping on the floor, and from the results of this my daughter has been sick.

Meeting this need will help me because once I obtain the bed, I will feel much better about my daughter being able to sleep more comfortably.

Meeting this need will help me achieve future goals because my goal is to eventually move into my own apartment, and she will have a bed to sleep in.

Right now, my biggest challenge is that I am unemployed at this time, and any income that I receive is contributed towards the immediate needs of my daughter (clothing, diapers, food, etc.).

Throughout her life, I strive to advocate for myself and my family. I have been in the process of seeking employment, to that I can have the means to care for my family.

I think of myself mostly as a father. I have a 15 month old daughter. I am currently in the process of registering for classes at a community college. In addition to that, I continue to see, employment.

Something interesting about me is that I care for my daughter most of the time, and I enjoy the relationship that we have. I utilize community resources so that I can be aware of what's available for my family.

I'm most proud of the fact that I am doing things that will have a positive impact on my life and family.

I live with my mother. It is my goal to obtain my own apartment in the near future.

I went to school at Evanston Township High and received my High School diploma. I am getting ready to take classes to obtain my AA.

I've worked at jobs including painting homes and other maintenance assignments.

I have known Clifford for the 7 months that he has been enrolled in our Home Visiting program. I think meeting this need is important because Clifford will have some stress relieved once he obtains a bed for her. He feels that his daughter had been sick due to them having to sleep on the floor during the winter months. This will move Clifford's life forward by providing a safe and comfortable place to sleep for his daughter. Clifford has been a great advocate for his family. He anticipates starting classes at the community college, as well as finding employment, being able to meet the needs of his family.
