Gene

Gene from Brooklyn, NY

I'm working toward a degree and a brighter future. I need help towards tuition!

I was laid off last year & the pandemic hasn't helped. I don't quality for state/federal grants, so I need help to fund my criminal justice degree.

Overview

I am a 34 year-old male / college student. Who was laid off from work as a shift supervisor in the Brooklyn Navy Yard since December 25th of last year (2019). I’ve been trying to get a job but have had difficulty due to physical problems, and the availability of work caused by the Pandemic.

My goal is to obtain a bachelor degree in criminal Justice, so that I be able to land a good career in order to become debt free. I also hope to one day start a family in a safe and loving environment.

I need money to help pay for my college tuition. I have been notified via my college that I don’t qualify for Tap/Pell grants at the last minute, and have given me the outstanding balance to pay for both Fall & Spring semesters.

Meeting this need will help me because it will help me to continue to achieve a higher education. It would better position me into securing a career that I need. It would also secure a future for myself and my family to live a quality-based law abiding life.

Need funded!

Thank you for helping Gene fund this need.
