Overview
I am a 50 years transgender woman who is transitioning her career from working in the HIV/AIDS field to being an aesthetician. I am currently enrolled at G Skin and will be starting classes at the end of June. I am currently working with Chicago House's employment program.
My goals are to get my license and to work in a clinical setting with a dermatologist. I would like to be self sufficient and successful. I know that I will be good in this career.
I need funds to cover my tuition costs (which includes a kit of all the supplies I need) as well as an uniform. I am starting classes at the end of summer and I need to pay my deposit.
Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to start classes on time. I will also be able to start looking for potential employers because I will be enrolled in the program.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Raven fund this need.

I have been working with Raven for the last 7 months through Chicago House's Employment Services program. Raven has gone through our TransWorks program to further her career options. She meets with me biweekly to apply for jobs, update her resume and create cover letters. We have been working together for the past couple months to get her enrolled in an aesthetician school and she was recently accepted. Raven is very ambitious and works really hard to make her goals a reality. I would love to see her get this money so she can start school.
