Ty
My job title is High School Director. I have been in this position since October 2012.
My work involves programming, guiding, mentoring and assisting youth, particularly high school students, reach their highest personal and academic potential. Working as a somewhat subsidiary counselor within an after school program allows me to be hands-on with students and work with them to develop individual goals, provide college awareness and exposure and witness personal achievement.
What I like about my job is the every day interaction with students! Youth have such a zeal and energy that it ignites a fire within me to help them in the best ways possible. Being able to give them access and resources to higher educational opportunities builds strong relationships and causes our interactions to be that much better.
