I am an Infant Mental Health Therapist in the Partnering with Parents program at Starfish Family Services. I have been in my current position for 2.5 years. I work with families with children newborn-6 years old providing parenting and relationship support, case management, adaptive behavior management, and advocacy. The best part of my job is witnessing increased moments of connectedness within familial relationships (particularly parent-child ones) and scaffolding these relationships until families are able to create them independently. Obtaining resources for these families is also an immensely important part of my work, as I realize that concrete needs must be met in order for there to be room to focus on emotional needs.
