Naomi from Tucson, AZ

I'm a single mother attending college. I need a computer to do my homework.

My computer was stolen & I need a replacement. This will allow me to juggle work, school and parenting so I can complete my degree.

Overview

I am a 47 year old single mother of three. I am a current full time struggling student enrolled through the HPOG program through Pima County One Stop and the Pima Community College. My courses are in Behavioral Health Sciences and I hope to someday be able to change the world.

My goals are to help others overcome addiction, abuse, to self heal and to better understand their own mental health issues. I would hope to someday show the world how to love.

I need a brand new computer because my old one was recently stolen along with all of my school related belongings including my research paper. It is very difficult to go to other places to use a computer as I work, go to school and help to take care of my 3 granddaughters and my own children. It is very time consuming and it is affecting my grades.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to be successful in something I am very good at. I have a strong desire to help other people. By helping me obtain a computer it enables me to help other people.

I have known Naomi through her participation here in her training at the One Stop. She is a hard working individual who is thriving to reach her goals and to overcome her barriers. I think that meeting this need is important to Naomi because since her computer was stolen, she has been having difficulty in finding time to do her assignments around her schedule. She is determined to finish school and help change the world and by getting help with a computer, it would be one less barrier to her goal.
