I am the Director at Detroit Training Center which is a partner of Young Detroit Builders. My work involves helping train and re-skill the local workforce in the areas of construction, heavy equipment, landscaping and facility maintenance. We provide vocational training and workforce development, helping those unemployed and under-employed obtain viable skills that lead to long-term careers.
What I like about my job is helping Detroit residents become a skilled member of the local workforce. Through our training and programming, we impact the community and their families, by creating jobs to help resolve the large unemployment and skills gap that exist here in the city. We are committed to the city, and committed to helping those who want to make a difference in their own neighborhoods.
We are helping to rebuild the local workforce and want to help put Detroit residents back to work.
