My job title is Family Advocate. My work involves working with families and individuals to help them help themselves. I offer them service information and basic needs services such as emergency food and clothing, medical information, and child care information.
What I like about my job is Helping people and seeing that by me helping, even with the little things, I was able to make a difference in someone's life.
I have seen many people fall through the cracks. It is very fulfilling when clients come through that door not expecting very much, because they have gone to so many places and have not received anything, and once I start to help and give them those services they leave here a different person!
