My job title is Program and Case Management Assistant. My work involves helping homeless individuals and families enter our Transitional Housing Program through outreach. Once they enter our program, our Housing Case Managers, including myself, help the individual or family find affordable permanent housing, while providing living skills and case management services.
What I like about my job is helping individuals and families overcome adversities and obstacles that they are experiencing in their lives and well as seeing that smile on their faces after they have found permanent housing.
I am dedicated to my job and I love what I do. I am a person who is caring, empathic, and truly understands what the population that I serve is experiencing.
