My job title is Case Manager for the Community Collaboration Project.
My work involves meeting with our eight Community Collaboration Project participants in both weekly individual Case Management sessions and group support meetings. Together, we work on attaining individual goals like housing, employment, and personal discovery. Our group sessions focus on issues like healthy eating, stress-relief, and personality assessment.
What I like about my job is the people who I meet. I enjoy getting to sit with individuals each week and learn about their rich life experience, as together we work toward maintaining that same fullness of life, one that includes respect, agency, and purpose.
I am currently getting two Masters degrees in theology and social work. Working at EDSSC is the best homework I can have for learning about the diversity of people, their rights, and their opportunities for making a positive change in this world.
