My job title is DSS Job Readiness Program Instructor with Urban League of Central Carolinas. My work involves instructing a job readiness program specifically for individuals who are a part of the Department of Social Services Work First program.
What I like about my job is the difference that I'm able to make in the lives of the those who attend my class. I'm able to see the transformation of people who start off not really wanting to come to class everyday, and by the end are really excited about everything they've learned and leave with renewed confidence as well as solid job seeking tools, and often land jobs even before they graduate the program.
